#115 - Little Oil (Victor Mitrani) | Pat Metheny in Detroit | Jason Isbell in Georgia

We’re pleased to be joined by Victor Mitrani this week to discuss his new self-titled album “Little Oil”. Written and recorded at home during the pandemic, Victor laid down most of the acoustic guitar and vocals in one take with one mic. Additional instruments (mostly drums, bass, backup vocals and some more guitars) were layered on remotely & it was mixed by our good friend Kresimir Tokic (Happy Birthday Buddy!). The result is an energetic, acoustic guitar driven blend of punk, indie and blues. Most important, he’s a joy to talk to and it was great having him on. Check it out over at Little Oil’s Bandcamp Page

We catch up with Greg in Key West, a few shows into a stretch of tour dates with the Red Not Chili Peppers. The day before he had a chance to land front row tickets to Pat Methany at Orchestra Hall in Detroit MI & was absolutely blown away. Listening to Greg describe seeing this incredibly important personal influence is a treat, hope you enjoy!

Shortly following the 2020 US Elections, Jason Isbell tweeted that if Georgia went to Joe Biden, he’d record an album of Georgia related covers. Good on his word, the album is out and Jay is loving it.
