#158 - Cam Kline on AJR | Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra | Well I Should Have…
First up this week is our very special guest Camillo (Cam) Kline, Nick’s second son. Since turning 9 (which is the same age Ciri was when he was on the podcast back on episode 38), Cam is really excited to come on the show and talk about his favorite band, AJR! Comprised of three brothers, AJR are put in the Indie pop genre, but Cam thinks they’re more electronic alternative and he loves where they’re going as a band. We listen to their progression over the past 12 years and agree and we were so happy to have him on!

Jay found a poignant article about the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, whose purpose is “aimed at promoting Ukrainian culture and denouncing Russia’s invasion.” We also discuss and listen to the 1970s band the Relatives, whose 2013 & 2016 revival albums are a story worthy of a film.

Finally, Greg brings us the 2015 jazz album “Well I Should Have…” by Jon Benjamin. Jon Benjamin, known primarily for his work as a voice actor (Bob from Bob’s Burger, Archer from Archer, etc), doesn’t play the piano & has never really liked jazz that much. He just thought it’d be funny to make a jazz album playing piano with top notch drums, bass & sax behind him…and he was right, it’s hilarious!
