#105 - “Donda” Delay Postponed, Abasi Concepts, Rolling Stones with Steve Jordan

Greg’s been practicing a new technique on his Abasi 7-string guitar that his friend and “Animals As Leaders” founder and lead guirarist Tosin Abasi gave him. The technique is similar to the one Victor Wooten uses on bass, where the thumb, in one fluid motion, hits the intended string and comes back up to hit the same string again. Adding the left hand hammer-ons and some extra fingers yields all sorts of interesting combinations… and Greg gives us a demo live. It’s great!

Luckily they’ve booked the great Steve Jordan and we explore this drummer’s style and past to decide whether he’ll make the cut (spoiler: yeah, this is good, Jay’s excited).
