News that Danny Elfman is releasing his first solo studio album in 37 years reached Nick’s feed this week. “Big Mess” comes out June 11, but some music videos have been dropping on YouTube in the lead up to the release. We discuss Mr. Elfman’s prolific career as a composer, singer and songwriter.

Greg has another artist to spotlight this week. Mike Patton’s band Tomahawk recorded a new album during the pandemic and it just dropped. Mike Patton is a vocal anomaly and the lead singer for Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Fantômas and Tomahawk. Tomahawk’s latest album, “Tonic Immobility”, is a strong contribution to their catalog & gives the band more room to shine than in previous records. Along the way, we touch on Patton’s talent, philosophy, energy and antics.

Lastly, we were sad to hear of the passing of DMX this past week. We offer our appreciation to the iconic rapper and discuss his contributions to the hip-hop world.

Thanks so much for listening, we’ll see you next week!
